Awards
- In 2008 we won a bronze IDEA award for the final design of the Chulha stove. A proofpoint of the Philanthropy by Design initiative at Philips Design. See also the site of Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA)
- In 2008 we also won a Red-Dot award for this project.
- In 2009 we won the prestitious INDEX award; watch the video and de ceremony (starting at 19 min).
- Also a second proofpoint under Philanthropy by Design initiative won a bronze IDEA award in 2009: the Breath Counter. (Less direct involvement for me in this project in my role as program manager of the umbrella initiative)
